I have been praying and working through what we will be doing for Easter Sunday.
Honestly, I have been blank. Everytime I sit down to pray about it or strategize or develop I am completely blank.
So, what should an Easter Sunday service look like?
If your not a partner with the OC, what has your church done in the past or doing this year?
Growing up, our Lutheran church always did a service that was dark, and the cross was carried up the isle and the pastor would pound the Bible, and when we left nobody talked? Not at all saying that’s what we should do by any stretch! When I was in Saudi we had a “sunrise” service, just when the sun was coming up and it was outside (warm in Saudi..def. not WI) and the gospel choir sang a song and we had a short service by the pool, much like our OC services on Sundays. I feel that it will come to you. I do. You’ll get it and it’ll be great. Don’t worry about what it “should” be like (which I know you know), but just go with your heart and what the spirit guides you to do. I think the best part will be being together to celebrate!
